A Longstanding Tradition of Excellence

The University of Iowa Hawkeyes football team has a rich history of success, dating back to the late 19th century. The program has produced numerous All-Americans, conference champions, and NFL stars. In recent years, the Hawkeyes have consistently ranked among the top teams in the Big Ten Conference and have made several appearances in the College Football Playoff.

Jeff Buch: A Hawkeye Legend

Jeff Buch is one of the most iconic players in Iowa Hawkeye history. A native of Van Horne, Iowa, Buch attended Benton Community High School before joining the Hawkeyes in 1999. He quickly became a star player, earning All-American honors as a defensive tackle. Buch was a key member of the 2000 Iowa Hawkeyes team that won the Big Ten Championship and finished the season ranked 3rd in the nation. He was also a member of the 1999 Iowa Hawkeyes team that won the Alamo Bowl.
